Our aim is to provide a safe space where people can feel free to be themselves and in turn hopefully realise that no one is alone in their recovery.

Kindness costs nothing and is the most valuable thing anyone can give.

When we refer to recovery, we do not mean cure, as for some of us a cure isn’t possible.

It’s about learning to live a life with meaning and purpose alongside some of the symptoms that we experience.

We believe that It’s better to find a healthy way to express feelings and emotions because if we bottle things up it ends up coming out at the wrong time in an explosive way and causes additional problems and upsets for ourselves and our families.

We chose the name Raggy Dolls after the children’s cartoon series because, watching it as a child, we loved how it was so inclusive to all, no matter what problems each one had, they were accepted as they were, and that level of acceptance and understanding is something that most of society is missing due to the portrayal of some mental health conditions.

Our hope is that within this safe space, we can all feel like we can share what has been helpful to us in our recovery journeys to aid and inspire each other with positive experiences.
